Polymer Concrete/Pump GroutsVibration is a key factor in the maintenance of pumps and other rotating equipment. Epoxy grouting of pump baseplates provides a chemically resistant pump pad that dampens vibration eight times that of concrete, thirty times that of steel and in turn reduces alignment problems and premature failure. Effective dampening reduces pump-shaft vibrations caused by resonance. It also helps to absorb shock loads and reduce startup vibrations. The end result is a significant increase in the mean time between failures, reduced maintenance expenses, and longer life for mechanical seals and bearings. Escoweld 7505E/7530 Epoxy Grout
The Escoweld material is a user friendly epoxy grout with a working life of two hours. It accomodates continuous pour applications up from 2" to 18" plus in depth, 24 hour cure, and requires only a water washable clean-up. It is used for machinery foundations, pipe supports, trenches, pump pads, and tank foundations. Escoweld provides a chemically resistant pump pad that dampens vibration eight times that of concrete, thirty times that of steel and in turn reduces alignment problems and premature failure of bearings, mechanical seals and couplings of pumps.
Sauereisen No. 165 Epoxy Polymer Concrete
The No. 165 Epoxy Polymer Concrete by Sauereisen is a general-purpose epoxy polymer concrete. Compared to an inorganic material, Sauereisen No. 165 exhibits much less permeability and broad range of chemical resistance. This product utilizes appropriate reinforcement and is suitable for use as a monolithic topping in rehabilitating chemically deteriorated concrete or as a means of protecting new infrastructure. Sauereisen No. 265 Epoxy NovolaK Polymer Concrete
Sauereisen No. 265 by Sauereisen is a castable material for the chemical-resistant construction of sumps, dikes, containment areas, trenches, walls, floors and structural support columns or bases. It is specifically formulated for foundation construction and should be installed with proper reinforcement. Mixing and forming methods are similar to those used for Portland cement installations. It can also be used as a monolithic topping to rehabilitate chemically deteriorated concrete. No. 265 is resistant to a wide range of solvents, oils, acids and acid salts over a pH range of 0.0 to 14.0 with a maximum service temperature of 180ºF. Sauereisen No. 465 NovolaK Vinyl Ester Polymer Concrete
The No. 465 by Sauereisen is a novolak vinyl ester formulation within the polymer concrete family. This castable polymer offers superior chemical resistance with a maximum service temperature of 250ºF. It is also known for its fast chemical set and low porosity. Sauereisen No. 33 Acid-Alk Cement - Mortar Grade
No. 33 Acid-Alk Cement by Sauereisen is the original one-part, chemically setting, modified silicate-base cement. It is specifically formulated to be used as a mortar in acid brick construction but may be placed as a castable in monolithic applications as well. No. 33 resists most acids and some alkalis from pH 0.0 to 9.0. It also resists water, steam and weather without any special post-cure treatment or acid washing. It develops a final set in 36 to 48 hours at 70ºF and withstands temperatures to 1,750ºF. Sauereisen No. 54/54LW Acidproof Concrete
Sauereisen's No. 54 and 54LW are potassium silicate refractories for use as monolithic linings in chimneys, ducts, breechings, scrubbers, precipitators, tanks, process vessels, and sumps. These refractories are especially recommended for all concentrations of sulfuric, hydrochloric, nitric, and phosphoric acids over a pH range of 0.0 to 7.0. For cast applications, refer to No. 54SG. Sauereisen No. 54SG Acidproof Concrete
No. 54SG Acidproof by Sauereisen is a potassium silicate castable refractory resistant to most acids including 40% nitric, 37% hydrochloric, and 98% sulfuric acid. It also has temperature resistance up to 1,400°F. It is a chemically resistant grout used for walls, floors, bases, and sumps. Sauereisen No. 65 Corrosion Resistant Mortar
Sauereisen's No. 65 is a potassium silicate mortar for bonding acidproof brick or tile used in the construction of industrial chimneys, stacks, tanks, kilns and floors. It is a two-component material, consisting of a Powder and a Liquid which are mixed together on the job. The mortar is applied by trowel in the same manner as ordinary bricklaying. No. 65 is particularly recommended for installations involving sulfuric acid and strong oxidizing solutions. The mortar is highly resistant to the sulfation that may develop in other types of silicate-based mortars when brickwork is subjected to alternate wetting and drying, fluctuation of dewpoint, or acid mist conditions. Sauereisen No. 65 resists most solvents, oils, and acids over a pH range of 0.0 to 7.0. |
