Winner of a 2017 National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association honor award, the colorful and artistic seven color design of this 35,000 sq. ft. terrazzo installation is inspirational for its elementary school students. Circular curves are instrumental in creating a feeling of peaceful flow throughout the school’s lobby, cafeteria, precast terrazzo stairs and corridors. This theme is especially evident in one of the unique features found within the corridors, called “family rooms” for special group activities. The circular motif decoratively found throughout the school echoes the history of this community, which has come full circle after re-opening its elementary school following a devastating flood.
