Having experienced heavy corrosion from years of wastewater service, this sludge thickener restoration included 17,000 sq. ft. of concrete restoration using Saueriesen's F-121 RestoKrete Substrate ReSurfacer. The F-121 is a high strength substrate repair material designed for an economical repair of concrete or brick. This Portland cement-based material can be pumped and sprayed and is used where the surface integrity needs to be restored. For this project, the F-121 was sprayed as thick as 3/4" and finished with a broom texture. Once completed, the entire surface was coated with Sauereisen's No. 210G SewerGard Glaze to protect it against future attack. CTS worked with the installer to ensure materials were on-site in a timely fashion and conducted on-site inspections of the installation.
